June marks six months into Game On!, The Quilt Show's 2026 Block Of the Month designed by Becky Goldsmith. So whether you've reached the halfway point, or are just getting started, there's still plenty of time to comfortably complete this year's BOM. And what would making a Quilt Show Block of the Month be without Barbara Black, who is here to guide us each step of the way. For this month, she says we will be focusing on, "another 3" border and one more 6" Corner block."
It's the beginning of June, which means we've reached the halfway point of Laurel Ridge, our 2025 Block Of the Month designed by Lynn Wilder. We released the patterns for this month a few days early, so some of you have already gotten a head start. But if you need a little direction on how to begin, Barbara Black is here to help you out with what lies ahead. She says, "This month Appliqué returns--with the large spray of flowers and leaves. There are 8 of these blocks, and each is 5" x 7.5" FINISHED." Barbara has chosen to not include appliqué in her version of the BOM, but has written plenty about it to help guide you where to go.
