"Seasons" a quilt by Terry Sargent Peart

Terry Sargent Peart's Seasons won Best Use of Color – Mid-Century Modern at the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival.

Terry, of Seattle, Washington, says, "I recently retired from a lifetime of work and have been reflecting on life's different stages and seasons. In nature, the color of light changes from morning to night, and it changes from season to season. The colors of each new season inspire us and affect our moods. Our lives are not unlike the seasons. This quilt is a product of my thoughts and feelings as I enter this new stage of life. The design was laid out full-size on freezer paper." Read the sign from QuiltCon 2020 to learn more.

Longarm machine quilted, Terry brings Seasons to life with vibrant color and beautiful machine piecing.

Seasons is 46" x 32"  and won Best Use of Color – Mid-Century Modern at the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival. It was also awarded 3rd Place Piecing at QuiltCon 2020

Spectacular quilt, I'm interested learning about laying it out on full size freezer paper.

This is a beautiful quilt! I love your use of color and movement by the way you quilted it. You should consider making is a sellable pattern. I would by it!

You are truly a woman of the Pacific Northwest. You even included the seasons of mud and smoke! I must study this more carefully on a screen larger than my laptop.

This is just wonderful, the flow of time and caring move through this quilt, it reminds me of a grandmothers’ love, with many years of life and loving in the form and color and feel. Beautiful, beautiful.
