Quilters' Save Our Stories with Nancy Martin

For this week's Quilters' Save Our Stories (QSOS) interview from the Quilt Alliance, Nancy Martin takes the spotlight to share one of the log cabin quilts she has made and to talk about "her personal connections to quilting, including how she began quilting, how quilting has impacted her family life, and her quilt business and books she has written."

What are Quilters' Save Our Stories interviews you ask? "Quilters’ S.O.S. – Save Our Stories (QSOS) is a project of the non-profit Quilt Alliance. The project creates, through recorded interviews, a broadly accessible body of information concerning quiltmaking, both present-day and in living memory. Our archive for the original audio recordings and photographs is the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. QSOS volunteers from across the country conduct and transcribe these interviews. We appreciate their generosity of time and dedication to the project!"

From Quilters' Save Our Stories and the Quilt Alliance:

"Kay Jones interviews Nancy Martin, a quilter and quilt book writer from New Jersey. Martin discusses her personal connections to quilting, including how she began quilting, how quilting has impacted her family life, and her quilt business and books she has written. She talks about her formal education in elementary education and how it has influenced her quilting abilities and ability to teach quilting classes. She also talks about broader aspects of quilting, including what makes a great quilter as well as a great quilt and museum quilt. She talks about the cultural impact of quilting on her community, particularly her involvement in quilt shows, quilting guilds, and sharing quilting knowledge with future generations. She discusses the importance of quilting on education, American culture, and American women in particular."

In my exploration of an academic writers' website, one aspect that caught my attention was the emphasis on security and confidentiality. The platform seems to prioritize the protection of clients' personal information https://essayusa.com/ and ensures a secure payment process. The use of encryption and stringent privacy policies indicates a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the client-writer relationship. For those concerned about the confidentiality of their academic pursuits, this feature adds an extra layer of trust to the overall experience.
