The Quilt Show Puzzle: "White Out" by Maria Shell
Do a puzzle of Maria Shell's quilt, White Out.
After requests from some of her followers on Instagram, Maria decided to create a more minimal and calm quilt than the kind she is used to making. Minimal in the sense that the color choices are subtler, not in the style of quilt that she makes. From that request, White Out was born. It features a restricted palette, very much pastels, but is the same block style used in a previous quilt of hers called Bliss. In the making of the quilt, Maria wanted to stick strictly with neutrals and pastels in an effort to keep it as light as possible. But as she was working she couldn't help herself and kept splicing in brighter pastels because she just loves contrast.
