The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Spoolin' Around" by Laura Nownes
Do a puzzle of Laura Nownes' quilt, Spoolin' Around.
Spoolin' Around was created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Empty Spools Seminars at the Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, CA. It's made entirely with two-and-a-half-inch wide strips, which makes the quilt easier to make if a quilter were to just make it out of jelly rolls for example. Or if pre-set fabrics are not your style, you can use any variety of fabrics from your stash to strip piece the quilt and make something that, in Laura's opinion, is pretty interesting.
