The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Skippy" by Pat Bishop
Do a puzzle of Pat Bishop's quilt, Skippy.
Skippy is a quilt that Pat made of her brother Nick's dog of the same name. Now that most of her siblings are retired, Pat likes to get together with them once a month for lunch. One day at lunch Skippy was lying on the floor and Pat decided to take his picture. Upon seeing the photo, she knew she had to make a quilt of it. Even though Skippy is no longer around, the quilt acts as a beautiful reminder of the time he shared with Pat and Nick's family. As Pat puts it, "My brother's dog, who in his old age was blind, diabetic and needed daily shots just kept on living his life, no complaints. A good dog."
