Representing the Kansas City Chiefs side of the Super Bowl, here is Judy Garden and Mayleen Vinson's entry into the International Miniature Quilt Exchange, Kansas Spring. Here's what they had to say about their quilt:

"What a great year it’s been. From the first trickles of information about an international miniature quilt exchange, through ups and downs in the lives of our team mates, we come to the finish line. Mayleen and I turned out to be kindred spirits in our love of quilting and appliqué. Emails back and forth determined that we would each work in the favourite colours of our team mate. We wanted appliqué, pieced blocks, and a centre medallion. My quilt had many interpretations regarding the centre medallion and the finished one is the fifth attempt. It was all about balance between the little pieced blocks and the appliqué itself. Over the next few months we learned about our lives and the challenges that we faced in meeting deadlines (whether quilt related or not), choosing designs and colours in keeping with our original goal, family matters, weather, and information about the towns we live in. I know I’ve made a friend and we will keep in touch long after our little quilts are hanging in our homes"
