Just Chillin features some of Valerie's early marbling fabric and contains a special piece she created that she was holding onto for a special quilt. Using that piece as the predominant portion of the quilt, she then added two gentlemen having an afternoon talk on top of some very beautiful roots just relaxing and enjoying their afternoon. This quilt differs from Valerie's previous quilts as it is one of her first to feature actual figures, as previously she had only featured churches and other buildings. She asked herself, "Who is going to that church?", and began to cut out people to populate her quilts.
