The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Blue Skies" by Bonnie K. Hunter
Do a puzzle of Bonnie K. Hunter's quilt, Blue Skies.
Bonnie has a passion for string quilts. If she has a scrap of fabric that is at least three-fourths of an inch wide, she will put it in a box relegated for string pieces. Strings are just narrow strips of fabric that are maybe too wide to do anything else with, but you can sew them together and cut them apart as fabric, and this is what she did to create Blue Skies. Bonnie used a wide variety of string pieces of blues that range from turquoise to navy and yellows that go from dark gold to white to establish the color palette and look of this quilt.
