Beach Houses #3 is the third in a series of landscapes by Mickey that feature the same style of houses put against different backgrounds. The houses themselves are based on some little cottages along a strip of land near Provincetown on Cape Cod. For this third piece in the series, Mickey took the same design as the much larger first quilt and scaled down the houses. She then utilized a different sky and foreground to have the quilt convey a different time of day or year.
