The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Poppies on Ice" by Grace Errea
Do a puzzle of Grace Errea's quilt, Poppies on Ice.
The inspiration for Poppies on Ice was the image of one large Himalayan Poppy that Grace saw featured in a calendar. What intrigued her more than just the flower itself was the color of the flower, of which she had never seen anything like before. She put together ten, twenty, however many flowers she had, and organized them on the quilt. Each of the flowers features beautiful beading which was unusual for Grace to use as she isn't much of a hand person, but she wanted to try and capture and show off the beautiful gold-orange centers of the flowers that were so prevalent in the original photograph.
