The Quilt Show Puzzle: "A World of Difference" by Mary Pal
Do a puzzle of Mary Pal's quilt, A World of Difference.
A World of Difference is Mary's tribute to Sir David Attenborough. Attenborough has put out many documentaries about his concerns about what is happening to the Earth, and Mary wanted to make a piece that would reflect those concerns, hence the Earth background, but also pay homage to the man himself because of his beautiful face which she wanted to reproduce in cheesecloth. Mary says that Attenborough "suggests ways each of us can make "a world of difference"," giving the quilt its poignant title.
