The 30th Anniversary Quilt Alliance BOM - Month 4
Designed by Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill
Month 4 of the Quilt Alliance's 30th Anniversary BOM is a little different than last month's by Pat Sloan, which focused on the roots of quiltmaking with a simple, but stunning Churn Dash-inspired block.
In July, the Alliance is excited to share a foundation paper pieced block by Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill. For some of you, this might be a new or daunting technique, but don't worry! The blog post has a ton of great tips, plus a link to a great tutorial from Sheri herself, who specializes in making this kind of sewing as easy as possible.
Join the Quilt Alliance and find out how you get to participate in this fun project!

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Life In a Threadpainted Town
"Life in Holly Ridge" by Nancy Prince
Life in Holly Ridge (75" x 54") took Nancy approximately 50,000 yards of thread, 5 million stitches, and 1500 hours to complete. The background fabric was hand painted and Tsukineko Inks were used in the houses on the hill and the windows and doors on the bias-sided town buildings. Nancy's grandchildren are the merchants in the town, with each of their names adorning the businesses.
See more of Nancy's quilts in How to Do Thread Painting with Nancy Prince.
