Featured Quilt - First Place Group or Bee Quilts at QuiltCon 2024
Subtle Secrets by Felicity Ronaghan, M-R Charbonneau, Karen Foster, Stephanie Ruyle, Debbie Jeske, Marci Debetaz, Ken Smith, and Leanne Chahley won First Place - Group or Bee Quilts (Sponsored by Hobbs Bonded Fibers) at QuiltCon 2024. On the creation of the quilt, they had this to say, "Using two fabrics with little value or color variation, these traditional blocks were made improvisationally without rulers. Black batting was chosen to feature the seams and subtle color differences of the light blocks and deepen the impact of the darker blocks."

The Quilt Show Puzzle: Taking The "Journey" Together
"Journey" by Cathy Perlmutter
Journey is a quilt created by Cathy that provides a very fast summary of her parents' immigration story. One corner, represented by the sarcophagus head, depicts the oppression suffered in Egypt. This leads to a trail of rubber stamped footprints that represent the journey taken to America, symbolized by the head of George Washington. This is their story in a nutshell and was made for the Passover holiday.
See more of Cathy's quilts in Improv Log Cabin Triangle Piecing, Cityscapes, and Judaic Quilting with Cathy Perlmutter.
