Featured Quilt - Many Tasks Generate One Amazing Quilt

Multitasking by Kathleen Bovee was featured as part of the Piecing category at QuiltCon 2023. Its title was inspired by something that many quilters are good at, keeping multiple projects going at once.

She says, "This quilt is made from pieced solid-color fabrics. Its design was inspired by two classes taken during the same week at Quilters Affair in Sisters, Oregon in July 2019. I had to set this project aside, still hanging on my design wall, while sick with Covid-19 in March 2020. Then when I felt well-enough to sit at my sewing machine for an hour or more a day, I sewed masks for my family. It seemed like a long wait to work on the quilt again. For about 18 months, this quilt preoccupied my thoughts and invaded my dreams to the point that anything else I was doing became multitasking. So that is the name that I chose for this quilt."

Oakshott Bundles are Back in Stock!

These Sell Out FAST So Don't Wait To Shop

Michael and Rose Oakshott have been supplying Oakshott Fabrics to quilters and textile artists the world over since 2003.

These lovingly created shot cottons provide quilters with fabrics of exceptional color, lustre, drape, softness, and quality. The characteristic "shot" effect comes from combining different warp and weft hues, and offers added depth and color intensity to the fabrics.

Woven at 54" wide and measured by the meter (instead of by the yard), Oakshott's 100% shot cottons are wider than standard quilting cottons and offer larger than traditional fat quarters and fat eighths.
