Featured Quilt - A Beautiful Autumn in the Smoky Mountains

When we saw this quilt, we thought it was a photograph. Take a closer look at the award-winning Tennessee Autumn (42" x 54") by Nancy Hershberger.

Nancy says, "There is nothing more beautiful than Autumn in the Smoky Mountains, where crystal clear waters dance and twirl and sparkle, reflecting the forest’s warm hues. At Great Smoky Mountains National Park, water becomes debutante and the park her cotillion."

Carol Moellers and More Bring Batiks To The Forefront in Our Brand New Show!

Batik Is The Word

TQS member Carol Moellers has been quilting for over thirty years and was very content working with cottons for her designs. Her love affair with batiks began in 2018 when she discovered that high-quality batiks were ideal for appliqué. Soon after, Island Batik recognized her quilt designs and invited her to become a fabric designer for the company.

Discover the techniques for creating your own turned-edge machine appliqué with batiks that resembles hand appliqué. Then meet and visit the studio of renowned batik artists Jonathan and Beth Evans who will share their intricate process for designing an intricate batik fine art piece.

Watch Carol, Jonathan, and Beth in How To Use Batik for Appliqué with Carol Moellers | Learn the Batik Process with Jonathan and Beth Evans, which debuts today!
