Virtual Classes are here to stay - and they’re the best! Lyric Kinard’s Academy for Virtual Teaching is starting up a listing of online quilting classes available for public enrollment.
From Lyric Kinard:
No lugging a suitcase full of supplies, packing ups your precious machine, just to find out the perfect piece of fabric is still at home! The pandemic has been rough but the connections we have made and the continued learning we have been able to access via Zoom have been a beautiful benefit. Saved my sanity - how about yours?!
So many more quilters are comfortable using Zoom for live classes and so many teachers have taken the time to create workshops that work even better onscreen than in person. You can see every stitch as though you are sitting on your teacher’s lap when the instructor has mastered the use of technology.
Try looking for longer classes that can be split into parts so that students actually have time to work through the more time consuming parts of the project then come back and ask questions. Look for teachers that combine on-demand workshop content with their live zoom classes so that students have continuing access to the course material. No more going home and forgetting what you’ve learned.
Lyric Kinard’s Academy for Virtual Teaching is starting up a listing of online quilting classes available for public enrollment. It is also THE place where teachers are learning how to create content and get it to you in as proficient and professional manner as possible. If you know someone interested in teaching online, January 26th we are offering a FREE mini-workshop giving an overview of what it takes for teachers to get online. Register now HERE.
