The last quilt that Lisa showed looks to me like there were two quilters. The first, using embroidery, did the tree, etc. I think, the second quilter was a child who was just learning the process. Mom (1st quilter) had her do all the other pieces (butterflies, etc.) and then Mom allowed her to applique the additional pieces to the quilt top. They placed the top onto another quilt because of money and the fact that 2nd quilter was just learning. That's my take...

I've made 2 of Irene's quilts and love her patterns. Thanks for this show, I got some new tips. I'm wondering about that white background she's using - the white with the gray lines and dots. Can anyone identify it?

Irene is a great teacher and a wonderful designer. I'm still working on my Garden Party (all by hand) and am enjoying it greatly.

I already need to rewatch this. I am new to needle turn applique. I seem to do it from right to left. And how to you keep your fabric from fraying as you work on multiple small pieces, holding it your hand and continuing to turn it!

Love Irene’s work. Where does she find all her fabric with small prints? Hard to find That many different kinds.

I did her one of her classes in Australia ( Berry, NSW) and she showed us how she buys many short lengths of fabric in many different quilt shops.
She is a funny and wonderful teacher and i recommend her classes.
