How to Machine Appliqué Using a Blanket Stitch with Annie Smith | Amy Barrett-Daffin iPad Cover Tutorial

(Show 2901) Annie Smith joins Alex and Ricky at our Dallas studio to demonstrate the basics of machine appliqué. Annie shares the supplies needed and the importance of setting up your machine stitch in the correct position to make the work look perfect. Then they move on to demonstrating how machine appliqué can enhance quilted clothing, with Annie sharing a number of garments she has made over the years. She then demonstrates how to construct a Bomber style jacket by adding the appliqué after the fabric has been quilted and cut into jacket pieces. Then the show wraps up with C&T publisher, and quilter, Amy Barrett-Daffin sharing an iPad cover gift idea made using TAP (Transfer Artist Paper) and Kraft-Tex.

Well, I think I'm drinking the Kool-Aid. I already own Annie's Ultimate Tool, and I bought her Ultimate Guidebook! I really love her outlook on applique and want to dive in deeper than I already have.
