How to Paint a Quilt and How to Add Dimension to a Quilt with Velda Newman
(Show 903) Velda Newman, contemporary quilt artist, author, and teacher, has wowed the quilt world with her amazing, up-close renderings of flowers, fruit, and other natural subjects. In this technique-and-tip-packed show, Velda demonstrates how to paint an apple on fabric, as she did in her quilt Sunkissed. We also see how she creates a realistic, dimensional leaf with pintucks. In addition, Velda discusses how to design for scale with the aid of a photograph.
