I've been wanting to share the Anchors Away quilt I made for one of my grandsons. I absolutely adore Alex's Anchors Away quilt, and I modified it slightly by adding some appliqued whales and ships from a Red Wagon quilting book. The small boat was a pencil drawing in the book that I made into an applique. My youngest son is serving in the U.S. Navy, and I made this quilt for his first born son. I love how it turned out, and hope you like it too.
