Featured Quilt - The Janome Master Award for Innovative Artistry at Houston 2024
The Naughty Corner by Tania Tanti won The Janome Master Award for Innovative Artistry (Sponsored by Janome) at Houston International Quilt Festival 2024. In talking about her quilt, Tania starts with a question, “Do you ever have quilts that whisper to you after you've thrown them into the naughty corner? Well, this one just wouldn’t stop. Thankfully, it didn’t. It's as stubborn and persistent as its maker. This quilt embodies an honest flow of moving emotions, connections, and letting go again. Last but not least, it serves as a reminder to never give up!” Congratulations on never giving up and winning your award for both your amazing quilt and your persistence Tania! |

Twice The Fun Is Coming Your Way This Holiday Season
Ricky has two upcoming classes that he is very excited about and would love to have you join him. Here's a little bit more information on the two classes:
LocoMotion 2024B: "Always a sellout, this interactive class guides you through the amazing process of designing your own curved-pieced quilt and follows Ricky’s “LocoMotion” process for accurate piecing without the use of 1/4” seams. Ricky gives each person individual guidance."
Quilting Caveman Style 2024: "Quilting Caveman Style (an interactive, improv piecing quilt class) starts December 5th and Runs through December 14th. It has been consolidated to end prior to holiday craziness. The pace is such that by just committing to an hour or two between classes, you'll mange very well in creating your own amazing quilt without using any pattern at all. Forego quarter-inch seams and break a lot of the traditional quilting "rules”."
LocoMotion 2024B starts November 6, 2024 and Quilting Caveman Style 2024 starts December 5, 2024. If you would like to register for either class, please do so by October 25, 2024 or sooner to take advantage of Early Bird Pricing. |

Introducing Our 2025 Block Of The Month Quilt Kit, "Laurel Ridge" by Lynn Wilder |
|
|
|
The stunning Laurel Ridge quilt honors the fearless women of the 1930s Packhorse Librarian Program who, for just $28 a month, braved treacherous storms, flooded creeks, wild animals, and deep skepticism to bring literacy to rural Kentucky communities. On horseback and mule, they traveled miles to deliver books, offering knowledge and hope to isolated families.
Get your Laurel Ridge kit and join us for a year-long journey of honing old skills and discovering new ones! Quilts created from The Quilt Show’s past Block of the Month patterns have earned over 300 awards worldwide—this one is sure to be a winner too!
(Quilt Shown is in Granddaughter's Spring colorway - Grandmother's Autumn colorway is still available.) |

"Passage of Time: Braunschweig 1" by Deborah Fell
Passage of Time: Braunschweig 1 is part of Deborah's German Architectural Series. She says of the quilt, "Architecture is a conversation between the past and the future. The fractured building images used in this series are from Germany. The dialog of design starts with the camera and expands with the use of cloth, thread and digital photography to transfers. Fragmented architectural elements and use of line and scale create depth and ambiguity. The graphic and realistic elements deepen the obscurity of the elements even greater."
