Using Scraps, Fussy Cutting Panels, and Creating a “Skitch a Day” with SusanClaire Mayfield

(Show 3504) SusanClaire Mayfield, the Gourmet Quilter, joins us to share a three-course meal of delicious quilting inspiration. Learn how to pre-cut, store, and use fabric leftovers, that cut down your fabric stash, while building new quilts. Learn creative ways of working with large, digitally printed panels by inserting charming characters to the design. Then, SusanClaire shows you how fun it can be to make a table runner using 2- 1⁄2'' strips that feature whimsical fused appliqués enhanced with color. She calls these little gems a ‘skitch’ a day, which is the combination of a sketch and a stitch.

Watching Susan Claire's show was such a inspiration. I just bought color pencils and have yet to try them. When I saw the free pattern I knew that it would be perfect for my daughter, unfortunetly I couldn't down load it, I got a error message.

This is the most fantastic program I have watched yet. Everything she showed truly spoke to me. I cannot wait to break out my pencils after stitching. Thank you! Thank you!
