Hover Quilting, City Landscapes, and Puzzle Quilts with Peter Byrne

(Show 3310) Canadian artist, quilter, and teacher Peter Byrne is known for quilts featuring innovative uses of traditional elements. A long career as a stylist and salon owner was set aside when he retired and decided to take up quilting in 2017. Two years later he thought he was ready to enter the world of quilt competition where others began taking notice as this relative newcomer began to collect big prizes in the Modern Quilt categories. Along with learning how to create shadow with a gridded design, Peter guides you through three original techniques for building a puzzle quilt, an improv cityscape, and a raw edge hover appliqué quilt.

Fantastic show with Peter Bryne. Just to watch him put this together with all the different configurations was something else. He is a wonderful speaker with an artistic quality that I've not seen before. So much fun and totally different.
