Description:
Artist Statement: ""Shadow" delves into human relationships, drawing from my experiences as a child of divorce. It's a meditation on the interplay of expectations and reality. The quilt's captivating patterns comprise over 5,000 pieces crafted via a unique foundation paper piecing process, showcasing the depth of our emotional ties. The geometric designs symbolize routine dynamics, while the overarching image highlights relationship subtleties, often clouded by our biases. Beyond being a visual piece, "Shadow" is an introspective mirror. It urges viewers to transcend preconceptions and appreciate authentic connections, advocating for empathy and genuine bonds in daily life."
Techniques Used: Machine Pieced, Machnie Quilted Without a Frame (Domestic), Foundation Paper Piecing
