Description:

With Set Fire To The Sky, Colette wanted to test some very fine point paper piecing, so fine you wouldn't be able to make the quilt without it. The center represents a fire as it makes its way to the outside blue fabric, which is the sky in this case. The quilt won Best of Show at Quilt Canada 2022 this year.

This quilt is absolutely beautiful with all of the fine piecing, quilting, and bead work. The color palate is also very striking. Congrats on such an amazing piece of art.

This is absolutely stunning. I had to study all the details in close up to realise (I think) what you had done, so many techniques. I can't even aspire to something that great, but I sure can admire your skill. Congratulations.

I saw this exquisite prize winning quilt yesterday at the AQS show in Grand Rapids. The piecing, beading, paper piecing are wonderful. The edge treatment is so different with the beads. And those tiny flying geese. So glad I got to see it in person
