Description:

Artist Statement: "My quilt, Serenity, slowly emerged during this past dark and dreadful year. Pairs of birds, calm and safe at rest, are in shades of red which, in my culture, represents future hope and happiness. Along with a touch of whimsy, see if you can find my goldfish. I want to extend these same wishes of hope and happiness to everyone."

This quilt is just crazy beautiful. The amount of work in the applique is excellent, and the quilting is just awesome. It truly is ridiculously stunning.

I love the quilting on this quilt. The quilt itself, is beautifully done. Very well done on the color graduation. The quilting really compliments the quilt.

I have never commented on a quilt before but I can't keep quiet about this one. This is the most beautiful quilt I have ever seen. The colors, the design of the appliques, the details added at just the right spot, the amazing quilting design; I could go on forever. I have seen many quilts in my 74 years but this tops them all. Congratulations! It's hard to stop looking at it...surprises everywhere!

I can not get my eyes full of this quilt. It is perfect in all respects: color, quilting, design, technique, theme! It is my favorite of all of the TQS featured quilts over my many years of membership. Congratulations on a well-deserved Best of Show award at Paducah 2024. I found the goldfish and thoroughly enjoyed the search!
