Description:
Artist Statement: "Pyrotechnics is the art of using chemicals to create dazzling displays of color, usually in fireworks. This miniature pieced and quilted wall hanging uses fabrics from Jacqueline DeJong's own batik line from Anthology Fabrics, which were inspired by the brilliant flashes of color in fireworks displays. Those pyrotechnic explosions were enhanced through quilting and the use of colored Swarovski crystals."
