Description:
Artist Statement: "Illusion was made for Quilt Con's Quilting Scrap challenge. This original design quilt was created on E-Q8 using an altered grid and a basic diagonal strip block. The block size range from 4" to 36" with both square and rectangular block sizes. Each block is a 4-patch of colorful diagonally pieced strips with a solid neutral center strip and a black and white print strip. There are over 50 different fabrics in this quilt. I half emptied by basket of 1" wide scraps on this gorgeous quilt. The 2" by 36" blocks were the most difficult to make because of the need for narrow long diagonal strips. The quilt is spiral walking foot quilted on a domestic machine interspersing straight stitched rows with decorative serpentine stitched rows."
Techniques Used: Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted without a frame (domestic)
