How can we tell what should be used for the background. I bought the kit but I don’t want to use the wrong fabric for fear that I may run short for a different block.

Thank you for the pics, John! Seeing close ups of the quilting and the background fabric choices helps me to make decisions about the fabrics I will choose. I plan to use black background fabrics for my quilt.

I am also using black background. Adding some bright solids and ombre fabric from my scraps. Only planning to do the First Block but it will be enough challenge for me.
