Lorelai Kuecker talks with AQS Executive Show Director Michelle Renee Hiatt about "Fabulous Fireworks", her quilt entered in the Modern Category at AQS QuiltWeek - Branson 2025. Her mixed paper piecing with curved piecing technique highlights the fireworks effect. She also used the same Northcott fabrics to create her dress.

Description:
Artist Statement: "This quilt was inspired by the display of fireworks that my family has at our lake party each year on the 4th of July. I thought, "What better way to represent the American tradition than with patriotic explosions of geometric patterns and color?" As a fifteen-year-old quilter, I have grown from traditional designs into a more modern aesthetic. I designed the quilt to reflect the radiating patterns seen in our annual show."
