The 30th Anniversary Quilt Alliance BOM - Month 8 Designed by Carole Lyles Shaw

Click through to take a look at the Month 8 Block for the Quilt Alliance's 30th Anniversary BOM. This month's design comes from Carole Lyles Shaw, a past guest of The Quilt Show.

What is the 30th Anniversary Quilt Alliance Block Of the Month?:

"From April to December 2023 we’ll be sharing one block a month with Quilt Alliance members and donors. Each of these designers has participated in a Quilt Alliance oral history project, so we’ll be sharing quilt stories and nine great blocks to celebrate our 30th year!"

More info about Month 8 from Carole Lyles Shaw and the Quilt Alliance:

"I am a modern quilter. I love using simple shapes to create complex looking blocks. This block uses only squares and rectangles. Careful color placement results in a complex looking block — fabric colors camouflage the seam lines."

If you love Carole's design, you can learn even more from her right here at The Quilt Show by watching her in Learn How to Work in a Series and an Afro-Modern Fractured Disappearing 9-Patch with Carole Lyles Shaw.
