The Quilt Show Puzzle: "Flying Beauty" by David Sirota

CHALLENGE: Do the puzzle of David Sirota's quilt, "Flying Beauty", using the 36 piece rotating choice. Then see if you beat Capt'n John's first try at the rotating puzzles. John tells you his time in the comments. We don't think you will have a hard time beating his effort.

I got it done in 8 min 30 seconds. This is only the second time I've done a rotating puzzle. If it had been any more than 36 pieces, it would have taken much longer. I like the 100 piece non rotating the best, although the 98 or 99 piece non...

I got it done in 8 min 30 seconds. This is only the second time I've done a rotating puzzle. If it had been any more than 36 pieces, it would have taken much longer. I like the 100 piece non rotating the best, although the 98 or 99 piece non rotating are not too bad, either. Every once in a while I'll do the 289 or more piece puzzles but the pieces are really small. Now that I have new glasses, it has not been too bad.

10 minutes and 36 seconds. I usually do the 100 piece non-rotating option, but the rotating option is definitely more challenging! Thanks for the challenge, John!

10 minutes 33 seconds. But I did do the 100 piece non-rotating last night.

Okay, I am totally embarrassed. I want to lie, but it actually took me 50 minutes to complete the 36 piece rotating puzzle. I am sure that expert puzzlers can do it in 20 minutes, but I was totally lost and didn't look at the quilt before trying to put it together. Ouch.

Okay, now it is your turn to hurt my feelings. How long did it take you?
