Susan K. Cleveland and Wendy Richardson Take You to New Quilting Heights In Our Latest Show |
You'll Learn So Much You Won't Know Where To Start First
Susan K. Cleveland returns with fresh ideas for using heavy threads to add bold definition to simple designs, showing how precision techniques become manageable when you slow down and start small. She also shares how cotton ribbon can mimic piecing or frame borders, and how subtle accents add polished detail. Most importantly, she encourages staying true to your style and trusting your instincts.
Then, Wendy Richardson shows how to revive vintage linens and laces by treating them as blank canvases. With thoughtful color placement, she transforms them into one-of-a-kind pieces filled with excitement and magic.

The Quilt Show Puzzle: A Foundation Paper Pieced Lion
"The King" by Tina Craig
The King is second of two lion quilts that Tina presented on The Quilt Show, each made using a different paper piecing method. Unlike The EPP Lion, The King was made using Foundation Paper Piecing, and was designed by Juliet van der Heijden of Tartankiwi Designs. Tina uses this and The EPP Lion as the poster boys for her lecture called EPP vs. FPP: The Showdown. During the lecture, after the introduction of the two techniques, the audience pits one quilt from each technique against each other and votes on their favorite, and at the end a winner is declared.

So grab your needle, and whether you use it by hand, by machine, or by foot, The Quilt Show will show you how to make something you'll be proud to show to your friends and family. |
