Featured Quilt - On and On It Goes and Goes
Infinity by Gabrielle Paquin was featured in the Abstract category (Sponsored by Sew Steady) at Houston International Quilt Festival 2024. While categorized as an Abstract quilt, you could also call Gabrielle's quilt an optical illusion for how she plays with her fabric to create the idea of constant movement when you view her work.
She say, "My major source of inspiration is space. This piece is made of spheres that rotate on themselves while rotating in orbits. This is a fantastic system. In this quilt, I have represented the circular movements that stretch to infinity in a perpetual movement." |
