About The Odette Quilt, "This quilt pays tribute to Odette Ueltschi, a trailblazer in the sewing world and the visionary force behind some of BERNINA's most groundbreaking innovations. As BERNINA's president starting in 1979 — an extraordinary role for a woman in Switzerland at the time — Odette revolutionized home sewing with advancements like the electric foot pedal, the first stretch stitch function, the BERNINA Free Hand System, and BERNINA's first computerized sewing machine. To honor Odette, Kaye England created the Odette block and has published a pattern book with variations of making the Odette Quilt."
