Featured Quilt - First Place Large Quilts: Stationary Machine Quilted at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2025
Six Hours in Arles by Ruth Ohol has won three awards in the last three AQS shows in the Large Quilts: Stationary Machine Quilted category , and actually improved in its standing in each show it was entered. It first received an Honorable Mention at AQS QuiltWeek - Daytona Beach 2025. At the next show, AQS QuiltWeek - Branson 2025, it won the Third Place ribbon. Then, as the expression goes, the third time was the charm as Ruth's quilt won First Place in the Large Quilts: Stationary Machine Quilted category (Sponsored by Husqvarna Viking) at last week's AQS QuiltWeek – Paducah 2025. This traditional quilt features wonderful machine appliqué, raw edge appliqué, and exquisite beading in its binding. Congratulations Ruth on your well deserved win! |

Plaid Is The Fad In Our Brand New Show
Michelle Freedman has been mad for plaid, particularly men’s shirting, for quite some time. She and an artist friend collected 36 different men’s plaid shirts, which they then printed with a secondary pattern using a linoleum stamp. In our latest show she shares the resulting quilt and discusses how thrifted, yarn-dyed shirts can be beautiful and versatile fabric to work with. Then, learn how to create a Juna mini quilt by combining four men’s shirts with two alternating blocks: a 9-patch and a checkerboard.

For Month 5 of Laurel Ridge, the 2025 Block Of the Month designed by Lynn Wilder, you will be making 20 Basket blocks and will learn how to work with small components. Lynn will also reinforce the formula and the method for making 8 half-square triangles at a time.
There are two colorways for this year's BOM, Grandmother's Autumn and Granddaughter's Spring. If you purchased either of these kits, make sure to download the pattern that goes with the appropriate colorway as they do differ because of the fabrics being used. If you are using your own fabrics, we recommend that you download the patterns from the Grandmother's Autumn colorway to use as your guide. |

Indigo Lights began with the border. Cynthia found the border, loved the colors, and wanted to create a two-color quilt using it. So she came up with a quilt made using an all on point design that utilized as many variations of blue as she could find.
