"Six Hours in Arles" by Ruth Ohol has won three awards in the last three AQS shows in the Large Quilts: Stationary Machine Quilted category, and actually improved in its standing in each show it was entered. It first received an Honorable Mention at AQS QuiltWeek - Daytona Beach 2025. At the next show, AQS QuiltWeek - Branson 2025, it won the Third Place ribbon. Then, as the expression goes, the third time was the charm as Ruth's quilt finally won First Place in the Large Quilts: Stationary Machine Quilted category (Sponsored by Husqvarna Viking) at last week's AQS QuiltWeek – Paducah 2025. This traditional quilt features wonderful machine appliqué, raw edge appliqué, and exquisite beading in its binding. Congratulations Ruth on your well deserved win!
