The Quilters Hall of Fame Inducts Katie Pasquini Masopust

Congratulations are in order for Quilt Show Legend and three-time guest Katie Pasquini Masopust, who will be inducted into The Quilters Hall of Fame next year. Katie has done it all and she's got so much more to show us too. Congrats Katie on this most prestigious honor.

From The Quilters Hall of Fame:

"The Quilters Hall of Fame is excited to announce the selection of Katie Pasquini Masopust as our 2024 honoree. Since Katie first began quilting in 1978, her creativity and sense of design and composition have been a moving force in the contemporary field of quilt making. She became a leader in the Art Quilt Movement through her eagerness to teach art quilters and through her seven-year service as president of Studio Art Quilt Associates. The positive effect she has had on the quilt world internationally and her many awards testify to her having earned a place in The Quilters Hall of Fame. Please join us in honoring her for her contributions to the world of quilting!"

Katie will be inducted into The Quilters Hall of Fame during the weekend of July 18-20, 2024.

In the meantime, you can learn from Katie right here on The Quilt Show by watching her in:

I can’t think of a more deserving artist, teacher and all around amazing creative force than Katie for this honor. I have followed her work since the early 80’s. She has pushed the boundaries of both modern and traditional quilting, introducing us to mandalas, tesselations, isometric /3D work, fractured landscapes, ghost layers, color theory, artful log cabins….and more. Love all of her work.
