"Bisa Butler: Portraits" Exhibit has been Extended

Bisa Butler's beautiful exhibit Bisa Butler: Portraits has been extended through September 2021 at the Art Institute of Chicago. Find out why this is a collection that is not to be missed.

 

From now through September 6, 2021 the Art Institute of Chicago will be presenting Bisa Butler: Portraits, "the first solo museum exhibition of the artist’s work" which will feature over twenty of her portraits. Come and take a look at the fabulous work of Bisa.

Plus, later in the year Bisa is going to be the spotlight interviewee for Quilter's Take A Moment, where she will be interviewed for the Quilter's Save Our Stories (QSOS) project by Dr. Carolyn Mazloomi.

Absolutely AMAZING!! Ms. Butler’s work is outstanding!! I LOVE the beautiful colors and how gifted the artist is in making these people seem so real in these gorgeous quilts!! A MUST SEE!!

Bisa's work is fantastic! Her work draws the observer in and for me I start to think and wonder about the person she has depicted. She is so talented!

What a wonderful exhibit. This natural artist really has a grip on the use of color. I truly love and appreciate her work. She needs to go to the front of the quilting world. Phenomenal works of art.

My husband and I saw this exhibit back in May. It was our first outing in 15 months. Her quilts left us nearly speechless; they are phenomenal! There was a Monet exhibit at the same time; lovely but Bisa Butler’s quilts were the highlight.
