Description:
Artist Statement: "I was impelled to make a quilt of the horseshoer's dog, capturing its expression and attitude. I painted the old rusty pickup bed on white fabric with Tsukineko inks, then fused the dog together applying him with raw-edge appliqué. I free-motion machine quilted this piece, allowing it to tell me what needed to be done. All in all, I can feel this dog warning me not to touch his castle."
Techniques: Hand Dyed and Painted; Fused Appliqué; Machine Quilted
