Description:
Jane set Vinas Viejas in an asymmetric off-center barn raising and used a lot of gradated colors from Cherrywood as her fabric choices. Using those colors she created the central portion of the quilt, and decided once that was finished that they looked grape-viney when grouped together. So she went to her backyard where she had a grape arbor and picked a few leaves which she used to make some appliqué designs for the border. This plays into the quilt's title, which translates to "old vines".
