Audrey Esarey Wins 2nd Place at AQS QuiltWeek – Paducah
Tamara Hanes visits with Audrey Esarey of Louisville, KY, about her quilt, "Ultraviolet Radial", that won 2nd Place in the Small Wall Quilts – 1st Entry in an AQS Paducah Quilt Contest category sponsored by The Applique Society. This is the 13th quilt in Audrey's radial series of quilts. Learn how she changed the thread color in the 1/4" quilting lines in both directions.

Description:
Ultraviolet Radial is the thirteenth in the radial quilt series that Audrey has been working on since Fall 2018. All of the fabrics in the quilt are hand dyed, and using the dyes from the front of the quilt she dyed the back as well. This is the first quilt in her series that uses four smaller individual circles, while the previous entries in the series only had one large circle. The quilting throughout was done using her longarm.
