Description:
Artist Statement: "This quilt exemplifies my infatuation with reverse appliqué. All of the appliqué is actually carefully cut out of the top fabric, then fused to the backing fabrics. All the raw edges are zig-zagged with monofilament thread.
It is an original design, and uses quality cottons, cotton/silk blends, and hand-made silk cording. It has a rouched flower in the center, and piping around the four circles and in the binding. The floral printed fabric in one of the narrow outer borders is also the backing fabric. It is an imported Japanese fabric.
It is densely custom quilted on a home sewing machine, using a wool batting to enhance the dimension of the quilting."
Materials: Cotton, Cotton Silk Blend, Silk
