Description:
My Lucky Stars won Third Place - Group Quilts (Sponsored by the Grace Company) at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2023. The group, consisting of Jill Isakson, Linda Neal, and Richard Larson, based the oak leaf border of their quilt on The Anniversary Quilt by Becky Goldsmith from her ebook, Flowering Favorites (2003). Jill sent photos of their quilt to Becky, who thought it was lovely, and Jill told her all about it. She said, "My Lucky Stars, whose applique border is based on your design from the Anniversary Quilt has received a 3rd place award at AQS Quilt Show in Paducah, KY. I did the fabric selection, overall design and piecing, Linda Neal appliquéd our adaptation of your border design, and Richard Larson did the fabulous quilting. Thank you for your inspiration and beautiful border design. It truly is the icing on the cake."
