Description:
Artist Statement: "This quilt grew from the pandemic lock-down months of making quilts and cooking meals. Spaghetti and meatballs were popular recipes at our house, so I naturally decided to design a celebration of the tasty orbs. This proved to be challenging, however, because I had made only traditional quilts with patterns. I realized I would need to take classes online to help me gain experience in designing and creating my own patterns. I also needed to loosen up and let my imagination take off. It's been a wonderful journey and a lesson that one is never too old to make new quilts or meatballs."
Techniques Used: Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted without a Frame (domestic)
