Description:
So, this is pretty funny. We were trying to decide what quilt to feature, when this one caught our eye. And guess what? It turns out to be another quilt from Laura L. Pomes. The first was Inspired Heart. We found this quilt in the Small Wall Quilts: 1st Entry in an AQS Paducah Quilt Contest (Sponsored by The Appliqué Society) category at AQS QuiltWeek Paducah 2024, where it received an Honorable Mention. Meadow's Embrace measures 30" x 41" and we liked how she used embroidery stitches to add texture to her design, which depicts a flowering meadow garden. We also thought it was interesting how she used hexagon blocks as a background to her appliqué.
