"Inside Out" features circles that Karla created using quarter arcs. For this quilt in particular, she wanted to go high-contrast with the colors, and have the circles end up being wobbly. However, even though the circles were wobbly, she wanted the edges to match, because a lot of the time the seams don't match when you free-form create arcs and circles.
