Description:
A friend shared this poem with me, written by Bob Perks, and I could not stop thinking about it! When I showed it to my daughter Allyson, we thought it should be captured on a quilt. We equated four of the lines to seasons of the year and wrote them in the flower wreaths and sun. To complete the seasons theme trees were added; and a delicate inner border left plenty of space for a wonderful quilting. My dear friend, Alex Anderson, designed the quilting for the border.
The original quilt is Hand Applique with fabric, trim and ribbons. The quilt has also been replicated using the Cameo by Sillhouette to cut out the trees, leaves and flowers. Machine stitches were used to create the wreaths and machine applique the components in place.
