Description:
Artist Statement: "Helen Hardin was a brilliant young half Pueblo, half Anglo painter from New Mexico. Her work was in museums across the country before she was even in her 20s. My family owned one of her paintings, and I made this quilt to commemorate her for the HERStory exhibit which celebrated famous women after 1920, and the XIX Amendment."
